Learning Before Lunch
March 31, 2020
To All LEARNING Before LUNCH Friends,
The members of the LEARNING Before LUNCH Board hope that all our loyal supporters and friends and their families are safe and doing as well as possible as we live through the COVID-19 pandemic. We also wanted to update you on the status of LEARNING Before LUNCH. While we all are in a state of change, we are committed to seeing everyone when LEARNING Before LUNCH resumes in the near term.
As soon as we are cleared to resume normal activities, we will begin to look at scheduling new events. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we evaluate our options at this time and hope we will be seeing everyone sooner rather than later. As we get more direction, we will be in contact with you and look forward to hearing new speakers and gathering with friends.
Here are some interesting facts about our organization:
LBL was founded in 2017 with our first program on September 12, 2017.
LBL is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization.
The last event, “Free People of Color of New Orleans” presented by Kim Coleman, had over 100 participants, the largest event to date.
LEARNING Before LUNCH is a totally volunteer organization dedicated to identifying and recruiting a variety of speakers that speak to a broad range of interests.
University of New Orleans has been very supportive of this organization. UNO welcomes our supporters to campus, donates the space, and UNO Foundation’s Legacy Society donates the coffee.
Your board appreciates your continuing support and wants everyone to be safe. We will be in touch as more information develops. If you want to contact LBL, send a message to firstname.lastname@example.org
