Although we will celebrate the July 4, 1776 Declaration of Independence this year, AMERICA250 is about much more than just what happened in the 13 Colonies.
The presentation will include AMERICA250 initiatives created by Commission members including museums, schools, universities and historical and genealogy societies. As a case study he will focus on how his organization is working with the new 2022 K-12 Louisiana Student Standards for Social Studies for AMERICA250.

Join Craig Ernst for an illustrated talk that captures the avenue’s mood—grand, leafy, and slightly haunted—while unpacking the architectural flourishes that make it one of America’s great streets.
